More information is coming on our new website.
The E-CORE RII Strengthening Partnerships for Advancing Research Capacity in Delaware (SPARC-DE) proposal aims to address labor shortages and a fragmented research ecosystem in Delaware. It seeks to create an open and inclusive research environment that supports faculty, students, and the workforce. The goal is to increase research innovation, connectivity, and workforce skills in key areas. The program includes several institutions, such as Delaware State University, Delaware Technical Community College, Wilmington University, Goldey-Beacom College, and the University of Delaware. These institutions will collaborate on research, education, and workforce development to build a stronger statewide research network. SPARC-DE will foster access to expertise, resources, and mentorship across four core areas:
- Research Support – Improving research infrastructure and increasing networking opportunities.
- STEM Pathways K-16 – Expanding STEM education to meet employer needs.
- Workforce Development – Enhancing STEM skills and connections to employers.
- Administrative – Coordinating statewide research efforts to grow and sustain R&D.
